What makes it work

An open courtyard and a double-height dining room bring light into a plot closed on three sides.
Grandparents' bedroom on the ground floor, beside the courtyard and the kitchen.
Children's rooms drawn twice, at age 5 and at age 18, so the furniture grows with them.
Wiring ready for home automation, with a ceiling speaker point in every room.
